Safeguarding Children Online Summit

12 Jun, 2026 | Safeguarding Learning | Return|

How can we protect children and young people when the digital world is evolving faster than safeguarding systems can keep up?  From online grooming and exploitation to harmful content, image-based abuse and the rise of AI-generated misinformation, the risks facing children online are growing in scale and complexity. With increasing national focus on platform accountability, early intervention, and multi-agency safeguarding, organisations across the public and voluntary sector must ensure they are equipped to respond.

The Institute of Government & Public Policy's Safeguarding Children Online: Policy, Practice and Protection on 30th June 2026 will bring together policymakers, safeguarding leaders, educators, law enforcement, local authorities, health professionals, and digital safety experts to explore the latest developments shaping the UK’s online safety landscape. This online conference will examine how legislation is translating into practice, highlight emerging threats, and showcase effective approaches to prevention, intervention and cross-sector collaboration.
