On 4th July 2025, the SCSSA published its Annual Report 2023-24, providing information across its 4 main workstreams: Compliance, Education, Communications, and Agency Development and Funding.

The Hon. Lady Rae,K.C., Chair of the SCSSA Board, says in the Foreword: 

The voices and the invaluable insights of survivors of abuse, ensures that our work remains informed by lived experience, humility, and a dedication to justice and healing.

Paul Donaldson, the SCSSA's Director of Safeguarding, reports:

The SCSSA has made remarkable progress in establishing a robust foundation for independently monitoring the Catholic Church in Scotland’s compliance with the eight Safeguarding standards outlined in the document ‘In God’s Image’. . . We are continuing to grow into a sustainable, independent organisation that the public can trust to ensure compliance with Safeguarding standards.
